"You're pregnant?" Heather exclaimed. "I'm sorry," she looked around to make sure no one was nearby to hear the news. It should be passed around before Edgar heard it. "Congratulations!"
"I need to have a doctor visit my home but Priscilla is certain I am," Alessandra said.
"You are. You don't have to prepare yourself for disappointment because you are pregnant. I know a pregnant woman when I see one. I was once pregnant. You are with child," Priscilla said for the last time.
"This is good news. It's a good decision to leave instead of staying with these women. I will join you. I cannot wait to see Edgar's reaction. The two of you will make excellent parents. Excuse me. I need to have my carriage brought around," Heather said, leaving the two momentarily to inform a servant she was ready to leave and needed her carriage.
