The royal guards standing outside the giant metal gate standing Melissa a good bow when she arrived outside Alpha Raven's chamber. Being summoned by her father, which is usually considered a reunion in other royal families, here, it was a matter of anguish and anticipation for her.
Sensing her nervousness, her maid, Lady Martha, initiated to go with her to Raven's chamber but she was only summoned alone. By taking her along, Melissa didn't want to put Martha in any kind of danger, being aware of her father's ill-temperament.
When she reached there, one of the royal guards knocked on the door as if it was some kind of signal. Quickly after that, a cold masculine voice grumbled from inside, "Let her in."
"You may go now, Princess." The guard also cordially pushed open the door for her, while offering another bow.
