"KNOCK KNOCK!"
Valerie placed the glass of wine on the table and darted a cold gaze at the door when he heard the faint knocking sound. With a mysterious tint in his dark eyes, he cleared his throat with a dry cough, and grunted, "Come in."
The giant metal doors of his chamber opened inside and two tall men decked in royal robes entered his room. Under the mild glistening lamp ignited next to Valerie, he coldly glanced at those familiar faces while keeping a brief silence.
They were no one other than Prime Minister Aldrin, accompanied by the aged-royal minister appointed in charge of the territorial security, walking right next to him in slow-steady steps.
As both of them offered a humble bow to their king, it was clearly visible that the aged minister seemed relatively more nervous than Aldrin, who had only a solemn expression prominent which seemed quite unpredictable as well.
