A brief silence, followed by Xanthus's words created an intense moment to persist between the walls of that spacious room. Standing numb and baffled, Noah sounded reluctant to believe what he just heard from him, "S-Sword…duel?"
But just hearing his cracked low murmur, Xanthus could evidently notice his nervousness. Gazing directly into his rolled gaze, he cleared his throat with a hoarse cough and tried to sound confident, "Why are you looking at me with such concern? Just to let you know, I have been accompanied to great battlefields and came back with marvelous victory! Today, it's just a sword battle between us…nothing else to fret over."
Through his boisterous tone, it seemed as if Xanthus was indirectly trying to console Noah about it.
