Flaunting his royal cape with the mild spring breeze, Illay had a small smile curved on his crimson lips as he headed towards his castle room. The brief yet warm words that Noah spoke to him had somehow vanished the numb feelings of defeat which was weighing him down inside.
His knight Maximus was walking right next to him, holding the metal armor he wore in the duel, but he seemed a little baffled by watching Illay in that pleased mood. Like always, he had expected Illay to react grumpy and vexed for the next few days following his defeat against Xanthus.
But as he watched Illay smiling softly again after having that small talk with Noah, it left him awestruck. Moreover, Maximus was also startled to watch Illay allowing Noah to even pat his head which seemed like a magic wand that strangely vanished away all his anger and frustration.
