Illay's angst-filled grumble created a sonorous echo inside the room that almost shook the giant walls, creating an intense ambiance. Lorelia stood awestruck, gazing wide at her son as if she was still finding it hard to process the way Illay fiercely vented at her.
After a brief pause, Illay stomped his leather boot angrily before he turned his back on her. From his gesture, Illay seemed intent on walking outside the room but before he could move ahead, Lorelia hurriedly grabbed onto his hand and sounded desperate to pursue him.
"Wait, Illay! I…I know, you must have been disappointed in me. I am aware that I…must have given you a hard life…but everything I ever did until now was only for you… I…I swear on my life, even now…I can do anything for you my son—"
"Only a hard life?" Suddenly, Illay yanked her hand away from his arm and turned around to meet her gaze, interrupting her sentence.
