While the old lady was helping Noah scrub his back in the shabby bathhouse allotted for the servants, she inquired in a hoarse voice, holding a shocked grimace.
Sitting down on a small wooden stool, Noah quietly nodded his head in response. Wearing thin trousers, his bare upper body was shivering with the cold breeze that wafted inside the bath-house through a broken window pane.
It was already close to midnight but he had no other choice apart from taking that old lady's help in getting a bath at that late hour. That smelly ox-blood stains were getting difficult to scrub from his body which somehow creeped him out.
Just when he nodded, the old lady frowned her brows and landed a big smack with her hand over his bare white back shoulder. The hit was so loud and sudden that Noah flinched in shock and squirmed with pain as he complained, "W-What the hell? W-Why did you h-hit me, Madam—"
