KNOCK! KNOCK!
The loud knocking sound made Xanthus avert his gaze towards the door, while his grumpy expression sustained. In the bright morning, mild sun rays partially fell over his face through the windows and warmed up the dark cold room.
But still dressed in his silk night robe, and slackly resting on his bed, Xanthus seemed to be in a disheveled state, especially after that bittersweet dream he had.
The door was knocked once again and this time, it made him scowl his face while taking a sip from his glass full of wine. With an agitated sigh, he grumbled, "How many times I must say that I don't want to see anyone here!?"
"Your Grace? It's me, Randall. Can I come inside?" This time, the familiar voice assured him that this time, Randall came to visit himself after he refused to let in any of the servants or royal guards since morning.
He took another sip of his wine and with a blank gaze outside the glass windows, he mumbled, "You can go back."
