After the tent was set up, they all sat down to eat. The meal was roasted meat from giant mutated rabbits that they had caught in the past. Kate was never bothered to keep the meat from majority of giant mutated animals.
After all, most of them were insects.

So, Kate would only keep some of them that were killed cleanly. It was definitely not her or Kyle's attack because their attack's lethality was simply off the charts. They would cause the giant mutated animals to rot or to turn into ashes.
It was indeed their absolute weakness.
They had to figure out a way to control their strength better in the future so that they would be able to catch these giant mutated animals and not just killing them. Though, for now, it was enough to kill these giant mutated animals.
