Kate's Father didn't need to turn around for him to know that Kyle had approached him. He had a short military experience when he was young, so he knew that Kyle noticed that he knew the latter had known about his daughter.
And looking at how Kyle was treating his daughter, Kate's Father didn't believe that he had no ulterior motives.
Kyle looked at Kate's Father and then called out, "Father in law."
Kate's Father's expression changed and he stood up before punching towards Kyle.
Bam!
The punch landed squarely and Kyle didn't dodge. He felt that he should just let this middle aged man vent on him because his daughter didn't even realize about it.
"I should have known that you're such a scheming man," Kate's Father scolded.
