They would need to have more training or gems if they wanted to get stronger faster in order to truly defeat a rank 7 giant mutated animals.

"They can control elements." Kyle tapped the chair with one hand while the other hand was holding Kate carefully. "Just treat them as if you're fighting other awakened. The one I fought can control two elements, fire and metal."
General Ryan's expression changed when he heard that these giant mutated animals could control elements. While they could obtain crystals from killing giant mutated animals, these giant mutated animals couldn't really control the elements well.
At most, there would be some traces of the elements on their body that would increase their speed, defense, or attack in accordance to the elements.
