Kate looked at Kyle blankly.
His words reverberated inside her mind, causing her face to turn even redder. She opened her mouth slowly, "Even after that…?"
She couldn't bear to say what she had done in City H. That painful scene and everything that had happened only made her want to forget everything. Thankfully, her memory seemed to support her decision as she could only remember bits and pieces.
The rest was only the whirlpool of emotions that made her chest tight, but she just had to make sure that she didn't think of it.
"Yes." Kyle took a deep breath and pulled Kate closer, hugging her. Kissing the top of her head, he whispered, "I'm not any better than you or even worse. What you did is just self defense, so don't blame yourself."
