Only Kate was still sitting on Kyle's shoulder without any intention to get down. Kyle had long gotten used to Kate's mischievous deeds after living with her for a long time, so he ignored her antics and instead focused on the two guests who came.
"So, what brings you here today?"
"Some reports of the appearance of a few giant mutated animals that they can't handle and asked for you again." Jake handed the folder he was holding. "Say, they really treated you quite specially."
"That's just because they didn't want to cause more troubles." Kyle snorted and read the file for a while before handing it back to Jake. "Say that I reject it. It's too far away from here and I'm too lazy to make the trip."
Marc smiled helplessly. "They will complain again."
"Let them complain. I don't care."
