"That's all the news I want to convey. If there is bad news, I will immediately send a secret letter to you." Lucas stood up from his chair and covered his face with the hood. "Sorry, but I can't be here for too long."
Lucas left the Wridal Kingdom secretly, so he couldn't possibly be away for too long, or people would become suspicious of him.
"I understand." Matthew also stood up from his chair, then patted Lucas on the shoulder. "Thank you for taking the trouble to come here."
Lucas smiled. "No need to thank me. Besides, when do you wish to apply for a court of nobility to the Emperor?"
"Oh, I just sent a letter of the court to the Emperor this morning," replied Matthew casually.
Ruby suddenly stood up and immediately grabbed Matthew's hand so that the man was facing her. "You haven't even told me yet!"
Matthew chuckled. "If I asked your permission, you would have hesitated to allow me."
