Basen quickened his pace when he saw there was a giant scorpion—one of the demon beasts living in the forest—standing right in front of Viviana.
"Sir! Sir! Please, help me!" Viviana, who was sitting in front of the scorpion, tried to back off and crawled quickly toward Basen.
"The scorpion suddenly fell out of the tree while I was walking."
Basen knelt down in front of Viviana and checked on Viviana's condition. Because Viviana felt surprised when she faced a giant scorpion, she fell to the ground, leaving her hands and feet covered in blisters.
"Did it touch you?" asked Basen.
Viviana showed a cut across her arm. "It scratched my arm with his tail when I wanted to run away."
Basen gritted his teeth when he saw the wound on Viviana's hand.
The Demon Scorpio had a poison that was deadly to humans. If a human was scratched by its tail, then that human only had one hour to neutralize the poison, or else they would die.
