"She pretended to accept me and in the end, wanted to take my scales for her own gain!"
Basen took Viviana into his cave while he was healing her from the poison. Because of his actions, Viviana came to see that there were so many snake holes in the cave.
She also saw Basen crushing their scales using fire and pounding them into medicinal powder.
The medicinal powder made by Basen was powerful enough to cure the poison. Viviana's body had recovered in just half an hour, and her face was no longer pale.
"Are you afraid of me?" Basen put some distance between himself and Viviana because he didn't want Viviana to feel afraid.
"You healed me, so why should I be afraid of you?"
Basen gasped in surprise; his eyes which had previously seemed to dim, instantly radiated peaked excitement.
"Can your scales cure many diseases?"
Basen shook his head. "My scales can only neutralize the venom of snakes and poison of demon beasts."
