"Are you feeling cold?" asked Matthew when he saw his wife rubbing her arms quickly to keep warm.
Ruby's body was no longer as weak as before, but because of her pregnant condition, her body was sensitive to cold air once again. The tip of her nose even turned red from the cold.
"A little bit," Ruby assured Matthew, "But I'm fine."
She didn't want Matthew to tell her to return to the Viscount's residence because she wanted to meet the people in Veles.
However, instead of asking Ruby to go back, Matthew grasped Ruby's hand and put their hands into his coat pockets. Matthew purposely channeled his spiritual energy into Ruby's body to make her feel warmer.
Gradually, the warmth traveled from Ruby's hands to the rest of her body, flowing calmly, just like river water.
Ruby stopped rubbing her hands and walked closer to Matthew so that she could get more warmth.
