Matthew's question left Ruby stunned. She thought Matthew was joking and not serious in saying that.
However, when Matthew prepared a horse carriage for her and Edda, Matthew instantly convinced Ruby that he meant it when he asked Edda to come to the palace.
"Edda, would you like to come with us to the palace?" Matthew asked as he knelt in front of Edda.
Edda looked hesitant at first, but she nodded her head as she saw Matthew smiling sincerely at her. "I want to come."
Matthew patted Edda's head, then asked Xylon to lead her into the carriage.
Once he saw Edda already seated in the carriage, Matthew stood up and looked at Ruby, who was still staring at him with a puzzled look.
"The road from Veles City to Trigas is bumpy, so you will feel uncomfortable using a horse carriage. Do you prefer to use horse instead?" warned Matthew.
Unfortunately, Ruby was not concerned about her comfort at that moment.
"Matthew, are you serious about taking Edda to the Palace?" Ruby asked.
