Maulvi nodded. He tightened his grip on Marlene's hand, then said, "My sister and I wish to bind a blood contract with Her Majesty."
Basen's eyes widened. He had not expected Marlene also to want to tie a blood contract with Ruby because, before this, only Maulvi had promised to serve Ruby while Marlene would be released.
"Did you force your sister to serve Madam as well?" Basen asked confusedly.
Before Maulvi could answer his question, Marlene already said, "Maulvi didn't force me to do something against my will. I'm the one who wants to be Her Majesty's demon beast."
The look in Marlene's eyes was solemn and filled with solid determination. She was not playing around at all when she said she wanted to swear loyalty to Ruby.
