In a low voice, Matthew replied, "I want to punish all of you."
As if an iceberg had fallen on them, the three people in the iron bars were unable to move. Matthew's terrifying gaze seemed to want to skin their bodies right then and there.
Demetria, who had been experiencing the hardships of life for the past few days, no longer had the energy to fight. Instead of shouting angrily like Taylor, she dropped her knees to the cold floor and begged Matthew for mercy.
"Please spare my life, Your Majesty." Demetria bowed her head so low she almost kissed the floor. "I will do anything for you in return."
"It's too late." Matthew knocked the floor with his leg, bringing up a black shadow that moved slowly from the sole of his foot toward Demetria. "Besides, I have no right to forgive you."
