Although Matthew and Ruby's physical bodies were asleep, their souls were still conscious. Ruby thought she had entered her dreamland, but the place around her seemed different from the dreamland she visited whenever she met Rubelia.
The place felt so cold and gloomy. There wasn't a single tree or a single ray of sunlight to keep her body warm. The only thing Ruby could see was an endless expanse of white snow.
"Where are we?" Ruby asked Matthew. She didn't really understand how she could be in the same dreamland as her husband. "I think this is a dreamland, but I doubt it."
Without looking at the place for too long, Matthew immediately replied, "This is my dreamland, or maybe you can call it my subconscious.
