For a few moments, Xylon's mind went blank. When he was able to think back, the only thing that was in his head was to comply with Ruby's request.
Neither body nor his heart was able to reject Ruby's words or try to stay away from Ruby.
"I understand, Your Majesty." Xylon lowered his head. "I will take you to meet His Majesty."
Everyone around Xylon was shocked; the soldiers didn't even expect that Xylon would ignore the absolute order of the king and choose to obey Ruby.
However, oddly enough, they also couldn't do anything to prevent Ruby from leaving the village. Naturally, they all acted as if they wanted to support Ruby's departure.
Nikolai packed emergency medicines and provided stamina-enhancing drugs for Ruby. Dena didn't even protest anymore and immediately gave a bag of clothes to Ruby.
