Xiran had just woken up. He was still lying in bed with his hand under his head, thinking about the strange messages he had received last night. He raked his brain to narrow down the people who might be texting him.
He was about to call Rumail so he would trace the number for him when his phone began to ring. He picked it up and saw the caller ID and a frown crept up on his face.
Xiran received the call and said:
"Hello!"
Silence followed.
All that mustered up courage began to dwindle at his single utterance and Aselia felt something stuck in her throat for she couldn't speak for a while.
"Hello!" he said again, a little annoyed this time.
"Hi!" her voice had him springing from the bed, his heartbeat jumped from a steady one to an uncontrollable one. His free hand went to his hair and he clutched them so hard and cursed under his breath.
