With a solemn expression, Ashton entered the throne room, clutching a scroll. His grip was firm, as evidenced by veins almost protruding from his knuckles.
Cyrus sat on his throne, speaking to General Samuel, who sat with his head bowed.
When he noticed Ashton, who appeared less cheerful than usual, he shook his head slowly and asked, "What?"
"The Statkus mages are in the west part of the city; up to three hundred dragons have been declared dead between last night and this morning as they took advantage of the harsh cold last night to kill so many that were out of their homes." Ashton reported sternly, tossing the scroll to Cyrus, who caught it and opened it.
Cyrus' eyes darkened as he noticed a crest of a howling wolf surrounded by stars on the side of the scroll.
"What on earth is this?" With a growl, he inquired.
"The Alpha of Celestia wishes to speak with you." Ashton responded.
