Both Chris and Rose bathed and wrapped themselves in towels. They climbed onto the bed, where Rose had gathered the medicine chest so they could dress each other's wounds.
"Lay down and get comfy," Chris said.
The Lord leaned over Rose to help her lay back on the pillow so he could clean and dress the chest wound. She gave no resistance.
"It's nice to have someone care for me." Rose smiled sweetly at The Lord, and he returned her warm smile.
"This might sting a little," Rose observed Chris place some antiseptic on the cotton ball he held in his fingers.
"Are you ready?"
He placed the medicine-soaked cotton over her wound. Rose could see he was hesitant to touch her.
