"I can assure you that I did not kill the wench. She is still alive and well, although slightly shaken." He replied to the Dukes' questioning.
Pierce grabbed him by the shirt and hauled him off the couch, glaring at him.
"What exactly did you do to her, you sick fuck?"
"Wouldn't you like to know?" Magnus muttered, licking his lips.
Duke Greystone doubled up his fist and bashed Magnus in his mouth. He watched as the man sucked the blood from his lips and spat it in Pierce's face.
"What the hell was that for?" Magnus snarled, struggling to free himself from Pierce's grip. His face was already swelling from where he was struck.
The Duke held on to his shirt and shook the man violently as he spoke. As a result, Magnus' head snapped back and forth as he did.
"We all agreed Rose would not be injured. You were just there to scare her. So I'm asking for the last time what happened?"
