"Congratulations, you are going to be a father," Giselle said, kissing her husband's cheek.
"Father…." Kane whispered. Awe-struck.
"Mhm…." Giselle nodded, staring into his dazzling Caribbean blue eyes, and beamed brightly. She was trying to get a feel for what he was thinking.
At that moment, nothing else mattered to Kane. It was him and his sweet Sparrow in their own little world. He held a shaking hand over his mouth to stifle an outburst of excitement, and tears sprang up in his eyes.
Giselle blinked in disbelief at her husband's reaction to the news of her pregnancy. She saw the grimace on his face and worried he was unhappy. She could not tell if he was overjoyed or disappointed with the surprising revelation.
"Kane. Are you upset about this?"
Her eyes were wet with unshed tears at the thought he may not want this child, but she could not imagine this as much as he had repeatedly told her he wanted a house full of children.
