Startled by what he saw reflected at him, Lord Alexsander craned his head around to see if Dante was there, but saw nothing.
Kane rubbed his right eye, knowing his astigmatism played tricks on his sight. When he looked again, it was gone, as were Apollo and Rose. In anticipation of the others reaching them, they climbed up the hill.
After what he had just witnessed, Kane could not shake off the thought of what had happened. Kane had something to try. Right now, he needed to join Rose on the side of the trail.
"Rose? Sweet girl. Please tell me what has made you so out of sorts."
A harsh breath fled from her nose as she huffed at Kane.
"It's nothing. Mind your own business. If you want to help, give me my dagger back." She said in a brusque tone.
