The newlyweds stayed in their room undisturbed most of the next day. They were exhausted from last night's romp in the bed. Kane rubbed his hand over Giselle's unblemished skin and gently kissed her.
"Good morning, my sweet sparrow. It's time to rise."
He wanted to chuckle at her disheveled hair, but knew it made her self-conscious. Giselle had pride and taken great care to look her best. He liked he was getting to see her at her worst, too. She was gorgeous, no matter what in his eyes.
"Mmmm... I need a bath, and I'm starving." Giselle noticed her thirst. She was concerned with Kane watching her take blood from another person. He knew what she was, but she didn't drink blood in front of him. "Kane? I'm not only hungry, but thirsty, too."
Lord Alexsander looked over to see Giselle's frown and wondered what was bothering his wife.
"Not to worry, I will ring for the servants to bring us food and drink."
