The bedroom was completely dark. The only light was coming from the embers in the fireplace. Kane had fallen asleep with Giselle on the floor, embracing her. He didn't want to leave his wife's arms, but he had work obligations.
Lord Alexsander untangled himself from Giselle, picked up her tired body, and tucked her into their bed. He changed into a clean tunic and trousers and headed to his study.
