"I had fallen ill several times, and my father was concerned for my health. He went to Mr. Crowder and told him I had resigned. Trust me when I say I was none too pleased about it. I miss my job and work friends," said Rose.
"I miss visiting with you. Seeing you here again today has been nice. Are you ready to open your packages?" asked Larson.
"Indeed, I am eager to see what Chris chose for me. Especially this one." Rose patted the sizeable rectangular box next to her, wrapped in a beautiful teal-colored satin ribbon.
"Well, what's stopping you? Go on, open it," encouraged Larson.
