“Do you remember that time when I was sick when we were younger?” she asked, and her voice sounded brighter than before.
“When you had a fever and had to miss out on the festival?” I replied with my best guess of what she was referring to.
“Yes, that time…” she replied with a smile.
If I remembered correctly that day, there was a festival out in the city and Regina really wanted to go. Her father, being the strict man that he is, wouldn’t allow her to go unless she got permission to come along with me and the other princes. After spending almost a week trying to do well in her various lessons, she was finally allowed to come along. However, things didn’t go quite as planned. The night before the festival, Regina got ill from her allergies and had to stay back at the palace.
“You were really sad and complained a lot,” I said before I smiled at her.
“Do you remember what happened in the end?” she asked as her eyes stared up at my face.
