“Wasn’t it you and your senior advisors who decided to put a virgin woman on the list of items that I was supposed to purchase at the auction? If I’m not wrong, there wasn’t a spending limit on any of the items that I was tasked to buy,” the prince replied without much care.
“You’re not wrong about that and it’s not the money that I’m concerned about. What is spent is spent,” the king replied.
“Then why are you so adamant in making her an honorable maiden? Don’t we have enough of them already?” the prince asked as his eyes narrowed at his father.
“Well, the same can be said for maids. We have more maids than honorable maidens and I really don’t understand why you would want someone so expensive to be stuck as a maid even if we are talking about a royal maid,” the king pressed as he leaned forward in his seat to return the prince’s stare.
