Chapter 101 - Jealousy

Being the highest point in Hydrogia, the weather-worn castle boasted the best view of the ocean and city below. 

The royal family could truly look down at their kingdom - the peasant village being the lowest point above the rocky seashore. 

When Princess Marie was born, King Alfred made sure to give her a room that faced the ocean. She was born with the queen's ocean-blue eyes and he wanted her to feel like she was looking in a mirror when her eyes got lost at sea. 

Princess Marie sat on her balcony with a book in her lap. Her eyes kept going over pages, but no words were absorbed. 

She sighed dreamily and glanced at the ocean. Far off in the distance, past the shore, there were clouds brewing up something ugly and she hoped it wouldn't ruin the final night of the banquet that evening. 

Ever since she had visited the Knights of Hydrogia's fief, she couldn't get the image of Henry out of her mind.
