Chapter 46 - The Tunnel

Commander Antoine's face spoke of a lifetime on the battlefield. He was in his 40s but each line in his skin told of every monster he had slayed in his 20-year career.

As Henry explained to him what he had seen while standing on the wall, a grim expression took over his features and the tense muscle in his jaw was visible to the others in the room.

The moment the apprentice finished speaking, Commander Antoine stood up from where he leaned against the wooden table and walked towards the holder in the corner that held his armor.

"We must waste no time," the older commander said as he started to dress.

Commander Lothian nodded in understanding and pat Henry on the shoulder.

"Go to the barracks and wake up Trenton," he said. "I'll meet you by the stables momentarily."
