At the Duke's Tower, colder weather had settled in and the maids no longer went throughout the estate opening windows to let fresh air inside. It was a harsh reminder that Henry's favorite seasons were behind him and all they had to look forward to for a while was bleakness.
Though, as he looked out his windows at the mountains that loomed over his lands, he couldn't deny that the white-capped mountains and evergreen trees were beautiful in their own right. He simply had to bundle up a lot more to enjoy nature as he normally did.
Not only did the weather make him feel closed in and lonely, but two very energetic presences in his life were also absent. Sylaron was up in the mountains with the Knights of Hydrogia and Blade seemed to hide away in the forests whenever he wasn't needed. It felt particularly quiet without his winged friends bothering him throughout the day.
