With a clean cloth, he first cleaned blood off of the skin visible to him. The white tank top chemise she wore was going to have to remain stained until she was able to go back to the Duke's Tower.
Then Henry went in with ointment that was given to him by Stanley before they set out on their journey. Most of the knights were equipped with it but he didn't want Irene moving around to take care of herself. After all, she was injured protecting him while he slept.
Henry was at a crossroads as he worked around the white strap going over her shoulder, but he was worried it was going to get in the way. It tied off at the top of her shoulder and he put his finger on it.
"Can I untie this for a moment?" he asked her.
Irene was so embarrassed she could only nod at him but she couldn't meet his eyes despite how well he was taking care of her.
