Chapter 96 - Unrealism

Princess Marie pushed her hair over her shoulder, putting it back in place after facing the breeze from outside. One of her ladies-in-waiting was immediately at her side, adjusting her appearance before backing off when the princess started showing an annoyed frown. 

King Alfred and Princess Marie were the only two left on the platform because the princes were out dancing or finding themselves refreshments. 

"My daughter," the king's deep voice reached the princess's ears and she tried to ignore it. 

Before he could say anything further, she already knew what it was about and her finger tapped on the armrest of the large chair she sat in. It would be unbecoming if she crossed her arms and she had to resist the urge. 

"The peasant knight?" the king asked. 

Her face felt immediately hot.
