"Arthur is dead."
Regan told Evelyn after he had finished feeding her the meal. Evelyn sat completely still as if not believing what he just said.
Concerned, Regan touched her hand softly and raised it to his lips to kiss lightly.
"What are you thinking?"
Evelyn came out of her trance and shook her head.
"I don't know."
It is good perhaps. But she felt nothing. She had thought that she would feel relieved when she would hear something like this but it seemed that she was wrong.
She actually felt nothing.
No happiness, no sadness.
But it was good. The kind of powers Arthur possessed …he could harm anyone with them. So it was good that his existence was wiped out from this world.
However, a few moments later, Evelyn felt upset.
Because she came to know that Regan had to leave again.
However, she tried her best not to show it. She didn't want him to know that she was upset.
