"Your Highness! Be careful."
The shout fell in Regan's ears and his red eyes went wide as he recognized the voice in less than a moment.
What was she doing here?
Regan immediately stabbed the man who was left and turned around to handle the one in behind but he was still late by a second.
Evelyn had already walked in front of him when he turned around and the sword that should have fallen on him, instead stabbed her shoulder.
"Evelyn!"
Regan's shouted immediately as he heard her painful groan. His hand went around her waist to hold her and with another hand, he blocked the sword which was about to stab her again.
His red eyes promised death to the man who looked ready to attack Evelyn again.
How dare he!
The man's eyes went wide when a sword stabbed his chest. It was an unexpected move and he was looking at Regan in shock as he slid down to the floor and lay dead there.
