Lucinda's scream forced Salma to peel her eyes away from the two items on the floor, moving her gaze to the source of the screechy, near-deafening voice.
The moment their eyes locked, Lucinda's heart shook wildly and she unconsciously staggered away, creating some distance between her and Salma.
Gideon, who was still trying to figure out what just happened, tore his gaze from the objects on the ground, then turned around to face Salma with raised brows.
"Where is he?" Gideon probed, still confused, both from Xelcio's absence and Lucinda's scream.
"The mug." Salma pointed to the mug beside the dagger, just as the dagger pointing at her chest dropped to the ground.
Once again, Gideon moved his eyes to look at the mug, and amusement glinted in his eyes.
"You turned him into a mug?" Gideon probed when he turned back to face her.
