Since the king was sick, the council meeting was presided over by the crown prince, Zayden.
"Your Highness, we can't go to war right now with the vampires. We don't have enough resources to do that." Sir Roman spoke, making Zayden put on an irritated look.
"What do you mean we don't have resources?"
"The last war left us in a vulnerable condition. Our warriors are few and the newly recruited ones are not yet good enough. If we confront the vampires in this state, it is going to be a massacre." Sir Roman explained, hoping this prince will understand what he was saying. Lately, Zayden had been acting crazy and pushing for war despite knowing what was on ground.
"So what are you suggesting? We should sit down here and wait for them to attack us first?" Zayden asked, his eyes flaring out of anger.
