"You all must be wondering about the reason behind conducting this Event. He continued."I would like to announce that we are collaborating with Miss Mei for our new collection."
Everyone applauded when Mei Lin stepped forward. She was wearing a light pink gown with small beads patterned on the hem. She walked toward the podium with her usual proud smile plastered on her face. She cleared her voice before speaking.
"I have been a fan of the GLAM GODDESS collection by Fang Group," Mei Lin commenced. " Thank you Mr. Fang for allowing me to collaborate with your company," she thanked him. He nodded his head in response. The crowd applauded again.
As Mei Lin finished her speech everyone cheered once again. Mei Lin came down the stage and stood with her manager who handed her a drink. Eventually, the people got busy chatting and eating.
Li Xia was standing alone with a drink in her hand, sipping it slowly. Thinking about how long this night is going to be. She sighed enormously. She looked around, her eyes fell on Luo Yuan who was talking with Mr. Fang. She decided to walk towards them. She put on her bright smile and walked towards them.
"Can I join you guys?" she asked and gave them both her warm smile. "I am sure I am not bothering you, gentlemen," she added.
"No no," Mr. Fang responded immediately. He then looked sideways at Luo Yuan who was staring back at him with raised eyebrows.
"Let me introduce you to Mr. Luo, who is the CEO of C.L Group," Mr. Fang introduced Li Xia politely.
"Let me introduce myself, I am Li Xia, '' she answered and stretched out a hand towards him. Luo Yuan ignored her hand and looked at her with a blank expression.
"Luo Yuan," he simply replied in his cold tone.
Li Xia took back her hand awkwardly. What right does he have to treat her like that?
Anger aroused in her heart as she scowled at Luo Yuan. But she still maintained her smile. She then stopped one of the waitresses that were passing by and took a drink from the tray.
"I have not seen you drinking a single sip of wine, it's disappointing," Li Xia said as she extended the drink to Luo Yuan. Luo Yuan looked at her with a poker face.
"Mr. Luo, don't tell me you can't drink wine?" Li Xia asked in a little louder voice so that others could hear.
"I can," he answered and took the glass from her hand. Li Xia scoffed as she watched him drink the contents of the glass. It was fun seeing him feel embarrassed. She laughed internally.
"Excuse me," Luo Yuan said and walked away from her.

As the evening ended, many people were already leaving, including the staff members. The room was almost emptied, and they had left the venue already.
Li Xia was also ready to leave as she was tired and exhausted from everything that happened earlier. But before leaving she decided to go to the restroom first. As she entered she found a man leaning against a wall near the door. she went closer to wake that man up.
"Excuse me, it's time to leave now, " Li Xia said and tapped his shoulder. But the man refused to move. Li Xia frowned and leaned in closer. The man moved with a yank and made her scream a bit.
He opened his eyes wide and blinked a few times before looking up at Li Xia. She was taken aback when she realized that she was looking at a very familiar face.
"What are you doing here Mr. Luo," Li Xia asked curiously. Instead of answering his lips curved into a wide smile as he stretched out his arms and engulfed Li Xia in a hug. Li Xia suffocated in surprise and struggled out of his embrace.
"Let me go!" she complained. But he didn't even flinch at her struggle.
"Is he drunk?" Li Xia asked herself as she observed him closely. Seeing him in this state she sighed.
"Mr. Luo where do you live," she asked in a concerned tone.
"I--- Live in my apartment," he mumbled as he swayed his body side to side. Li Xia grabbed his shoulders and held his waist steady.
"And where is it?" she asked. He took a moment to think before responding.
"I don't remember." He said and shook his head. He then closed his eyes and leaned on her shoulder. Li Xia sighed, it was useless arguing with him anyways. She placed his arm around her neck and pulled him with her.
"Vroom! Vroom! Let's go!" Luo Yuan screamed as he was being dragged outside by Li Xia.
Li Xia took a taxi with Luo Yuan and drove him to a hotel. As she didn't know where he lives and she can't take him to her apartment either.
He was sleeping soundly on the passenger seat and Li Xia sat beside him. His head was on Li Xia's shoulder.
After 10 more minutes, they reached a hotel. After paying for the cab fare, she dragged Luo Yuan toward the reception area to book a room for him.
"Excuse me, I would like to book a room," Li Xia told the receptionist who was looking at them with an amused grin. The receptionist looked at Luo Yuan and then at Li Xia who was carrying him with her.
"Take this," the receptionist handed her the key card with an amused smile. She then dragged Luo Yuan to the elevator and pressed the button for the fourth floor. The elevator reached in a minute later and they stepped out of it after the doors slid open.
There wasn't anyone in the hallway apart from them. She looked around to find the assigned room. Li Xia found her booked room and opened it with the room card. Once she entered the room she placed Luo Yuan on the bed.
"You must remember this kindness," she said and took a deep breath as he was heavy for her to carry. She crouched down to remove his shoes and socks. And then she removed his jacket so that he could be comfortable.
"It's hot," He answered and tried to open his shirt buttons only to see Li Xia shaking her head disapprovingly.
"Don't do that!" She quickly closed the button he opened only to realize that she was so close to him. That she could feel his hot breath, his skin, and his aura that was making her lose control. After all, she had a crush on him for 8 years. Her cheeks started turning crimson.
"I have seen you somewhere before," He smiled sheepishly.
"Does he recognize me?" were the only sentences circulating in her mind after hearing his words.
"You are Cinderella right?" he asked with his eyes closed and blushed cheeks. She wondered if a cold, ice-blooded person could be this childish when drunk.
"You are drunk Luo Yuan," Li Xia said as she helped him lay down on the bed. But he just hummed in reply and snuggled deeper into the pillow. She sighed and placed a blanket over him.
She again squatted down and wrote something on the sticky note and placed it on the nightstand so that he could read it in the morning. She walked out of the room, closing the door gently behind her. Now it was the time to finally leave and go to her apartment.
