Steven didn't have time to make the movements he needed to trigger a special technique, and so he conjured up an Earth Talisman from his storage ring and created a shield in front of him powerful enough to allow him to stop this second attack with it.
After countering this attack, he returned the Earth Talisman into his storage ring and he landed safety on the platform.
Cyntia, although she was not able to extinguish these flames that were on him and that gave off a strong heat which made her feel a little bit uneasy, immediately engaged in hand-to-hand combat with Steven.
Her suit was there to protect her from the flames anyways, so she didn't have to hesitate and be afraid of him.
They fought like this for a few minutes without either of them being able to take the advantage over the other and Cyntia had to admit that Steven was much stronger and much faster than she had imagined.
