Cassy then pointed her dagger at that black smoke, which continued to spread farther and farther away, killing anyone who hadn't been lucky enough to get her protection by disintegrating them in seconds no matter how powerful they were, and then she concentrated on this black smoke hoping for her dagger to suck it in.
And even though Cassy had had a vision of this dagger sucking in this energy, as well as the confirmation from her Divine Mage System that this dagger was indeed capable of sucking in any source of energy, including Divine energy, Cassy had no idea how it worked and she could only hope that it was enough to want to suck in an energy for the dagger to be able to do it on its own...
And just as the shield was about to be completely destroyed, Cassy felt the dagger vibrate in her hand and suddenly all the Black Divine energy that had been spilling out onto the battlefield stopped its progress, and even began to retract.
