Once Freya had regained consciousness, Steven finally seemed to feel better and when he was sure that his mother was really fine, and that he couldn't do anything to help Cassy, because even Alaric told him that he could only wait and that she would be fine once she would wake up, even though he was still passing a lot of time with her, he also resumed his training.
Then, he decided to give Roman Cassy's Divine dagger for him to absorb the original Black Divine energy that was inside it.
Steven still remembered his conversation with Alaric during the battle, and so once he explained to Roman and Adrian, who was worried that Roman could have bad after effects, that the energy inside the dagger was not longer under the influence of Lilith and that this Black Divine energy could merge with Twilight to help Roman to become stronger, Roman finally accepted to give it a try, and then, during two days straight he only absorb this energy from the dagger.
