The Queen Ant did not break the spell, but when the spell vanished, Steven and Alaric frowned as they saw that the Queen Ant had protected herself under an earthen shield that looked like a rock dome.
And even though Steven's spell had apparently succeeded in shattering several of them, because there were large piles of stone all around the dome, which had been cracked and blackened by the spell, the Queen Ant then made her protective rock dome explored and she was only slightly wounded.
Her HP points were down a little, but much less than Steven had expected and they were still at 69,000/80,000...
Steven then said to Alaric, "Let's cut off her legs or, if we can't, at least wound her at this level so that she won't be able to move as quickly."
