They spent the whole trip in silence while embracing each other and being surrounded by darkness. Arren wasn't sleepy in the slightest, but his eyes were shut the whole time, feeling at ease.
The same was true for Spade.
The both of them didn't even know where they were or how many hours had passed. After an unknown amount of time, the truck suddenly stopped, which made Arren's eyes open, but of course, he was greeted by darkness.
Still, Arren turned his head and looked at Spade, even if he couldn't see his face clearly. He vaguely discerned the alpha to lower his head and whispered to him.
"We're here." His voice was as deep as Arren remembered, and he almost burst into tears right there and then.
However, he held it in. Arren knew that it wouldn't take long before he couldn't suppress it anymore, and he was certain that Spade was feeling the same as he was.
