Valerio pleaded and pleaded, but Leia, who was unwilling to open the door for him, never did.
Finally accepting the fact that she wouldn't open the door, Valerio turned around and glanced at the ruined living room to see that Everly was nowhere to be found.
"Everly…" He called to know where she was, but no response came from her.
A deep breath fled his nose, and he pinched between his brows, realizing that she had seen a side of him that he had never wanted her to see.
He walked up the stairs and halted once he arrived in front of the door to her room.
He could smell her fresh scent coming from the room, so without a doubt, he was sure that she was in there.
He lifted his balled hand and placed three light knocks on her door.
"Everly..." He called her in a gentle tone, but he received no response.
He tried again, but just as expected, no response came from her.
