Valerio adjusted his suit and grabbed hold of his suitcase.
He walked toward the door and pulled it open. "I will be going now. Bye bye." He said to Everly, and she lifted her head slightly to look at him.
"Bye bye." She waved her tired hand at him and plopped down on bed.
She closed her eyes and turned on her side to get a little bit of sleep.
Valerio took the elevator down and stepped out the moment the door opened.
He strolled to the living room and halted the instant he heard approaching footsteps, which still sounded a bit far away.
"Wait..." He mumbled, feeling like he could recognize those footsteps.
He immediately lifted his head when the image of someone flashed through his mind.
Her scent! He could smell it!
His nose twitched, and his heart skipped a beat.
"What is she doing here?" He questioned himself with a rigorous expression on his face.
He gazed at the exit door and watched as it pulled open.
